South Asian Heritage Month

South Asian Heritage Month is celebrated from July 18th to August 17th. This year's theme, Roots to Routes, inspired our approach to the UI design. We explored the concept of connection through threads and fabrics symbols that reflect how roots are intertwined and carried forward through generations. Traditional South Asian clothing is known for its bright, vibrant colours, which we've incorporated into the creative to keep that spirit alive. By using Phulkari patterns floral designs traditionally used in embroidery to represent growth, tying back to the central theme of roots to routes. Altogether, the design celebrates both cultural heritage and the journey of identity, honouring the past while embracing the future.
